One of those that looks complicated but easy to learn and play :D Captivating game!

Steam PLS!! It's awesome!

Fun game! I enjoyed it :)

Thank you! :)

whats the linux commands (Debian) to install and play the game?

the music is cool, the mechanic is cool and the style is cool, nice :)

^^

this game is the best game I've never played in my life

I love this game! I'm very bad at it, but very well done! If there was more added on later, I would totally spend money on this! Again, great job. :))

Thank you! Hope you like the new update coming soon ;)

(+2)

really nice game, but I wish you can save and load files because when I exit, I have to start all over again :(

How do I view my Max HP (so I know when to heal)?
How do I target enemies?
Can I divide my attacks so I'm not doing 6 attack on a 1 HP enemy?

You can see if you have max HP if the number of your life is in yellow, right now you can't target enemies or divide attacks. We might add more mechanics to this update that might change that thought! ^^

Great start!

Managed to beat the game in one go, maybe a bit too easy and doesn't seem much roguelite aspect to it as of yet.

definitely like how much freedom you have with customizing your deck, especially because of the remove dice option which lets you remove 3 dice in one go.

It is a bit unclear how the enemies act though, there doesn't seem to be any indication to their attacks and their damage seems random as well

I think you are the first comment that called the game easy haha, we thought about having each enemy display above their head their "intention" like in slay the spire but discarded it to make the game look simplier for the game jam, we may bring that feature back if we feel it's a nice addition ^^

(+1)

You wot mate??? You beat it in 1 go what the heck.

Good game I rate this is as 5/5 stars (outstanding)

This is a list of thoughts of your game:

  • It's really fast and easy to know what to do
  • I like how it's a dungeon level although you should add different themes of the dungeon levels as passing through them
  • The textures very good
  • The story is good
  • I like the rpg layout

in my opinion legendary dice are completely useless, or at least way less useful then they should be, since they are always crystal, and you can almost they some results but without them being crystal with certain less rare dice.

Hmm, that's nice feedback, we will think about that.

Fantastic game, really fun and I enjoyed playing around with building  different 'decks'!

THIS GAME IS AWESOME! After 2 full hours I've won :D

Didn't even knew this game has an end!

Thank you for your comment! ^^

This is a very cool concept. I think it would be nice to be able to target enemies so you can be strategic which ones you attack first. also having it so you can tell what the enemies do would be a nice quality of life thing. adding stuff like magic spell dice that could do aoe damage or burn damage or having dice and or enemies that do poison could add a lot of variety. I felt like when it came to building a "deck" you really just wanted big dice and a balance of them having options for kind of ply styles would be cool. maybe having relics or magic items that can make certain dice better or give you a special dice every turn would add a really cool element that i think the game is kinda missing. Also the crystal mechanic where the dice was only usable once the sides didnt seem enticing, when you could just pick solid dice that dont go away.  I hope that is good "criticism" if that helps cause ima fanboy about how cool it is now. SICK AWESOME ART love it has an old school feel. super cute frog dude. the heavy mechanic I thought was really creative. super fun and I would pay cash money for this as a full game. Great job! also sorry for the long comment XD

These are all great ideas i hope some of them could get implemented into the game!

(+1)

This game is so awesome! great job. So far I was able to get to level 17.

(+1)

Yo! love this art style havent played much but seems cool so far :D

(1 edit) (+1)

Awesome. Maybe add some animation (for attack / when hit), but the ideas and the overall quality of the game are dope.

ME WON

I checked out the game because I thought the art style was nice looking, and I now have to leave before I get addicted. The music is just AMAZING, the game mechanic is so basic anyone can understand, and I love the thought of using cubes to move; its just SO GOOD! Good job on the game, looking forward to more work

Thank you!

Yo this is awesome, i do not usually play turn baseg games, but man this is cool!

:)

just beat the final boss in 3 turns

tbh this game is great!

Great game idea! the combat style reminds me of Ratropolis. Love the art and the D&D style.

Really cool! I love the dice grid, it feels like there's a lot of design space with it.

Looks great! Any chance for a mac build? Cheers

There's now a Mac build. Enjoy :)

Thanks =)

Dude this is impeccable ^ ^!!!!!!!

If you expanded on this and added more content, I could totally see you selling this on steam for 15 buckaroos!!! :333 <333

(+1)

And if he did I would buy It

why dont you charge money for this? i would gladly pay for a game this good.

cant stop playing bruhh. awesome!

can't stop playing, it's perfect!

Obviously it depends on the RNG of what options you get as you beat each lvl

but it seems like once you understand the meta to beating the game it becomes a bit easier

I love your game diseng

Thank you! :)

I love your game but the end left me a little crestfallen, can I provide like a comfy image of the frog to add to the end?

(+1)

An ending screen is already in the making! ^^

(+1)

I made one anyway lol but I look forward to seeing what is created!

This Is a really good game. And I had a lot of fun. But on which level does it end??Because I died at level 18

The game ends after level 20, so you were pretty close to finishing!

hoping it gets extended to go longer than 20

That finale did me in. Managed to get a good set of five dice I liked, and kept only those five the whole time. My numbers weren't enough, though.

This is so similar to a game I had been making on and off for the last year, except mine is card based and nowhere near as polished/balanced or fun as yours! Love it :D

Got to floor 18.. it starts getting tough but didn't have enough heals, prob could have gotten further

(+1)

a replay button on Fin screen would be good

The ending is getting reworked with a more satisfying look and a proper menu flow, tbh that Fin screen was just a rush job to get us across the finish line when were working on the original jam version lol

I get it lol, just a friendly suggestion, this game does have great replayability

Wait- you can beat the game??? I'm a bit sad about that. The game is really good though. I quite enjoy it and the art is wonderful. The general idea is very cute and I like the mechanics of it. Maybe after you've beaten the 20th floor an endless mode will be unlocked? And you get rewards for how far you get in it that will help you get farther next time? I think it could be a cool idea to play with.

(+1)

honestly i think it be cool if it was just endless, but it tracked your score/how far you got.... maybe even a leaderboard

There should be an option for a leader board, like something you can click on to check it. If it just pops up then that could suck for some people. I know some people that feel like they're not good enough if they end up not winning, getting first, etc. so maybe its something that could be disabled if its even added.

(+1)

even if its not a leaderboard and just tracks like your own stats... total wins/games played, most common level u die on, etc

(+1)

Funnily enough, originally the game was planned to be endless, maybe just keeping track of how far you got. But at the end we thought fighting big, boss-like enemy was a more satisfying ending.

Even after saying that, I do think there's so merit in the idea of having some sort of endless mode, and maybe even a leaderboard as you guys were discussing on the thread. But having a satisfying version of something like that will involve bespoke rules and progression compare with the current game, so I guess the only thing I can say right now is that we're more focused on the "story" mode of the game. Hopefully you can see where I'm coming from with this answer :)

(+2)

I love the aesthetic of the game, from the cute theme of frogs and insects to the pixelated graphics! Is there anything I can do to help in coding or developing ideas for future updates? I'd be honored to help in any way!

Thanks for the kind words!

As of now we don't really need extra help, just playing and letting us know about your impressions or any issues you have is more than enough, but thank you anyway :)

(+1)

What an awesome Game !!!!

Thanks! :D
