Top 8 favourite Itch Game I played in 2023 (Others are listed in this blog post)
I will give some money and Whishlist on Steam when I finish the Blogpost.

I really like the uniqueness of this Deckbuilding. Am excited to see what the full Steam release will offer.
If I recall correctly the normal Enemies got kind of easy after a while, though the Boss at the end was too much for me every time I reached it. But that's really the only feedback I can give now (usually I have a lot more to say but I am far too exhausted from writing lots of other stuff).

very G00d game

Level 62 my highest on endless. Got to 113 health. Took about an hour. Forgot I had it running in the background for 2 hours lol.

soooo good game

Super fun game! I just played for a bit over an hour and ended up getting crushed at level 25. Give it a try if you're not sure.

Meu deus que jogo bom!!!!

Easter egg? I just noticed this after going to the pristine water and haven't seen it before the other times.

I found it very cool, with plenty of replayability.
it's added to the whishlist.

Small graphic point, I find that the "finish" button is not very visible.

Otherwise, it could be a choice, but I'd find it cool to be able to click on an enemy to get info on it.

*Spoilers* I have spent so long to have enough hp to survive the dude and I finally had 53 hp against him and he just says wait what welp guess I gotta use this then and then holds his sword with an eye on it and does 9999 dmg and it just restarts

32bit pls

add endless mode

this threw me off.

was anyone able too beat the bee boss

Yeah. Not that bad if you use the honey wisely. Honey also stacks so if you throw a heavy die down on top of two honey on one of the queen spaces  you can get a lot of damage or shield for free on the next few turns.

cool thanks

i wonder why this doesnt work

either im real dumb or the browser version softlocks if you try to upgrade dice when you can.

We had a good run while it lasted... elite flies hit hard on stage 8. Tbh I'm a bit embarrassed that the hollow block die wasn't handcrafted (if I had a normal block die and then made it hollow, it would have gone up to 6 instead of 4). Still, had a while to go before my deck was fully decked out.

One of the best games I have played in a long time 10/10. You should add more traits like heavy and hollow I know you said you would in the main version but can we get 1 more on the free version.

There's already 9 dice properties in the demo.

really huh i haven’t been able to get them and I’ve beaten the bosses weird

Sorry I’ve gotten 3 of the traits and 2 of the extra dice types

very cool!

Finally got all the endless mode dice modifiers (again). Now I can finally start playing the game

what

what do honey blocks even do

(+2)(-1)

if you put a die, let's say a 3 heal, on a honey marked block and then use a honey die to put honey on the same honey marked block (with the 3 heal die), the 3 heal will become a 6 heal (idk if that made sense? but yeah i discovered that after 3 games lmao)

Honey dice will place honey/royal jelly on all tiles X away from the honey die (where X is the face of the honey die, kind of like boost dice). If a space the honey die targets is a crown marked space, dice on that space get their value multiplied by 2. If a space a honey die targets isn't a crown marked space, dice on the targeted space have their value divided by two.

Has anyone gotten the grow option after getting an eternal die. Seems the only way for eternal to be worth it, but I have never gotten the opportunity

Finally got grow on an eternal

(+1)

Right after reading your comment I managed to get a grow eternal by floor 2

Nice. Which type? Mine was attack and that is difficult with cockroaches and the weird one.

Block. Tbh, block is probably the better growternal die for that reason. Also pretty OP against evil frog.

is there a chance for xbox version

Finally beat it! This game is to die for. (You have to put that on the Steam page now.) I felt bad after killing my sibling. The boss fight was really really fun though! I also absolutely love the Queen Bee boss fight. The unique mechanics in both of them were super duper fun to play around and use to my advantage. Very good game, definitely wishlisting on steam :]

were the terrain dice removed or is my rng just abysmal recently?

It's your RNG.

(2 edits) (+1)(-1)

Really cool idea. Honestly I haven't played anything so addicting since slay the spire.

HOWEVER, this needs more playtesting. RNG is too dominant, imo. If no decent affixes show up it's basically impossible to beat queen bee.

The way I see it, if I don't get a single hollow/heavy by 6th floor best to just start over. Two rare blue dice are mandatory against that boss.

Also, I find the way enemy damage is represented a bit confusing... What does weak and strong attack translate to? I swear one red square sometimes hits for 2 damage, sometimes 3. Is it supposed to be a range amount? If not, having the exact amount show on the red square would improve UX a great deal.

All in all I'm looking forward to spending hours playing this game. Wishlisted!

The Queen Bee's gimmick is using honey dice to pump up dice values when placed on the specifc tiles on the board.

However, You are correct in that if the honey claims your shield dice, you're going to be out of luck when the big attack happens.

I feel the best you can do is to ensure you have only 2 of each colour type. More dice means more chance of having an unfavourable streak of dice you don't want for a given situation.

(1 edit)

The damage enemies deal is indeed a range. Before modifiers (such as endless mode), a plain square (of any color) is 1-2, a silver one is 3-5, a gold one is 6-10, and a really big gold one is 11+ . Each enemy has a range of damage, for example a regular fly deals 1-3 damage, so if it shows a silver you know it rolled a 3.

The game used to not even show these dice indicators, imo they made the game a little too easy.

Fun game. I think the enemies that added new mechanics like the queen bee of the ones that targeted weak spots were the most fun to play against.
