what

what do honey blocks even do

(+2)(-1)

if you put a die, let's say a 3 heal, on a honey marked block and then use a honey die to put honey on the same honey marked block (with the 3 heal die), the 3 heal will become a 6 heal (idk if that made sense? but yeah i discovered that after 3 games lmao)

Honey dice will place honey/royal jelly on all tiles X away from the honey die (where X is the face of the honey die, kind of like boost dice). If a space the honey die targets is a crown marked space, dice on that space get their value multiplied by 2. If a space a honey die targets isn't a crown marked space, dice on the targeted space have their value divided by two.

Has anyone gotten the grow option after getting an eternal die. Seems the only way for eternal to be worth it, but I have never gotten the opportunity

Finally got grow on an eternal

(+1)

Right after reading your comment I managed to get a grow eternal by floor 2

Nice. Which type? Mine was attack and that is difficult with cockroaches and the weird one.

Block. Tbh, block is probably the better growternal die for that reason. Also pretty OP against evil frog.

is there a chance for xbox version

Finally beat it! This game is to die for. (You have to put that on the Steam page now.) I felt bad after killing my sibling. The boss fight was really really fun though! I also absolutely love the Queen Bee boss fight. The unique mechanics in both of them were super duper fun to play around and use to my advantage. Very good game, definitely wishlisting on steam :]

were the terrain dice removed or is my rng just abysmal recently?

It's your RNG.

Really cool idea. Honestly I haven't played anything so addicting since slay the spire.

HOWEVER, this needs more playtesting. RNG is too dominant, imo. If no decent affixes show up it's basically impossible to beat queen bee.

The way I see it, if I don't get a single hollow/heavy by 6th floor best to just start over. Two rare blue dice are mandatory against that boss.

Also, I find the way enemy damage is represented a bit confusing... What does weak and strong attack translate to? I swear one red square sometimes hits for 2 damage, sometimes 3. Is it supposed to be a range amount? If not, having the exact amount show on the red square would improve UX a great deal.

All in all I'm looking forward to spending hours playing this game. Wishlisted!

The Queen Bee's gimmick is using honey dice to pump up dice values when placed on the specifc tiles on the board.

However, You are correct in that if the honey claims your shield dice, you're going to be out of luck when the big attack happens.

I feel the best you can do is to ensure you have only 2 of each colour type. More dice means more chance of having an unfavourable streak of dice you don't want for a given situation.

(1 edit)

The damage enemies deal is indeed a range. Before modifiers (such as endless mode), a plain square (of any color) is 1-2, a silver one is 3-5, a gold one is 6-10, and a really big gold one is 11+ . Each enemy has a range of damage, for example a regular fly deals 1-3 damage, so if it shows a silver you know it rolled a 3.

The game used to not even show these dice indicators, imo they made the game a little too easy.

Fun game. I think the enemies that added new mechanics like the queen bee of the ones that targeted weak spots were the most fun to play against.

urm, does it not work for yall

I got the queen bee medal and the frog medal, but what are those two block shaped medals?

Brilliant idea marred by unfair bosses, cheating RNG.

what the hell

(+3)

ive found another

Is the mirror dice nerfed so that mirroring a pierce dice doesn't pierce or is it a bug? If the former the mirror should show a non-piercing dice, it's confusing that it shows piercing dice

I have downloaded an older version of this and imo its better. The one that should be considered (classic) is the more older one. I still play it sometimes.

I cant play on browser

good game

(2 edits) (+1)(-3)

The Browser version needs a save progress feature, also, nerf the final boss its extremely unfair

Bosses are pretty easy if you know what you're doing imo. What about the boss are you having trouble with?

the whole like, honey dice thing, and the honey spaces on the board, also the damage is insane, it kills you in two hits and you don't get enough levels to increase your health

Amazing game! Say the magic words "dice" and "roguelite" and I am there. It's one of those games that's easy to learn but hard to master. Really looking forward to the full game.

I've been a major fan of rouge like games for a long time and I can tell this will be an excellent addition to the genre

Cant believe they made it for linux :)

In-browser version of this game is broken. Doesn't work in the latest versions of Firefox, IE, Chrome or Opera. It has certainly worked in Firefox in the past.

im on opera and it works for m

I just played it on Chrome

Here's some screenshots I have of me beating the game

I can't beat level 20

Ok nevermind I'm fine.

I'm new can some give me tips?

(1 edit)

Finally Broke level 80! Got to 82.

All dice with Grow/hollow of course:
- Attack/Block
- Heal/Block
- Mirror
- Mirror
- Terrain
- Terrain
- Block (couldn't get a good 3rd one. Kept getting boost double dice )

As this is more than 5 blocks, there is some randomness, but I feel the randomness overall increases consistency as at higher levels, you need big hail mary plays.

General strat is to mirror/terrain every turn, while also doing a double die/mirror for damage/survivability.

Depending on the encounter / die rolls you will either want to prioritize living for one more turn, or taking down the biggest damage dealer.

Eventually it comes down to luck, because 3 purple flies, or 2 purple flies and a cicada mean GG no matter what you have, as the flies do 60-70 damage a turn. I was doing amazing with health RNG, and got up to 120HP, but even then it's not enough to play defensively and wait for grow dice to kick in.

At lower levels, strat is to pump out block until attack grows slowly... but eventually at the higher levels, you have to just commit to killing something, as there are enemy combinations that will kill you no matter how much health/shield you have.

Other good strats I used to get high levels, buit don't work as well as this:
- Mirror/terrain + lots of heavy dice ( so field always has 9 dice on it )
- 5 die strat, so you get the exact same roll every time. (terrain/2 mirror/2 doubles) problem with this strat is that you need to add heavy dice in, because after the terrian/mirror, you only have 3 dice on turn 2, and then on turn three you have another mirror/terrain.... which is too slow. 2 terrain/mirror allows you to fine tune exactly what you need for each round, and always have 5 die to play when you need it.
-  Area / mirror / Terrain dice. Lots of fun, fast rounds.... you can kill everythign fast... but then you often end a fight without being able to fully heal... which means you die in the next fight.

really fun, the dicey dungeons at home.

funfun

Really Fun :)

(1 edit) (+1)

fun! thanks.

bug: dice collector thanks you even when you change your mind and do not discard any dice

also a suggestion: remove dice from the board on left mouse click. lmb currently doesn't seem to do anything and it is intuitive to undo the dice placement with it.

(+3)

I killed the bee by using terrain dice and honey to create a +43 slot, which I promptly use to grind her bee bones into dust. 10/10
